The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Toastmasters is an international organization with clubs on six continents. Area 16 encompasses 5 clubs in southern New Hampshire (USA): Amoskeag Better Communicators, Manchester Payment Talkers, Salem Toastmasters of Manchester, Manchester Top of the Town, Manchester Winning Speakers, Windham We are part of District 45, Region VII and Toastmaters International. Area 16 Mission As part of a District, the Area is the assistance arm between the Board of Directors/World Headquarters and the Club.  The mission of the District and Area is to: Ensure each Club fulfills its responsibilities to its members and becomes a Distinguished Club. Promote and extend the benefits of membership in Toastmasters clubs. Help in the organization of Clubs. Develop a close relationship between individual clubs and Toastmasters International. Facilitate the training of club officers. Encourage Clubs to undertake programming which will create greater community awareness of Toastmasters and make the benefits of Toastmasters available to more people. To attend Club meetings regularly; To prepare all of my speeches to the best of my ability, basing them on projects in the Communication and Leadership Program manual or the Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals; To willingly prepare for and fulfill meeting assignments; To provide fellow members with helpful, constructive evaluations; To help the Club maintain the positive, friendly environment necessary for all members to learn and grow; To willingly serve my Club as an officer when called upon to do so; To treat my fellow Club members and our guests with respect and courtesy; To bring guests to Club meetins so they can see the benefits Toastmasters membership offers; To adhere to the guidelines and rules for all Toastmasters educational and recognition programs; To maintain honest and highly ethical standards during the conduct of all Toastmasters activities.
